Fall, 2015

The fall is always a lot of fun. I love it when we can get outside because the weather is cooler (well, some of the time). We have a few traditions that we've started that I always look forward to. We have been going to the pumpkin patch every year since Avery was little, and the past 3 years, we've gone to Mitchell Farms. It's my favorite! This year, we also went to a few trunk-or-treats, and Avery wasn't terribly scared as she usually is. We don't usually do much of the dress up and Halloween stuff, but this year, Avery wanted to participate! Of course, it rained on Halloween, but we were still able to do lots of fun stuff this fall. She wanted to be a chef this year (what she dressed up as for career day), and Bryce wanted to be a fireman. GG had been on a cruise with friends, and then she headed to visit Mitchell and his family for a little over a month, so things were definitely different without her around.

Mommy scored this cute outfit on Facebook through a boutique giveaway! At almost $70, I was really excited!

I don't think you can tell from the pictures, but I totally messed up on the kids' shirts this year. I tried to be cheap and order iron-ons to do myself. I always get in too big a hurry, and they were all peeling off and messed up when I got done. They still wanted to wear them any way, AND they wanted to wear their boots. It was HOT outside, so we went for comfort and did what the kids wanted to do. I'm trying to let go of things that really don't matter so much! We had a blast, and they'd look cute in rags!

This is the first time Avery has ever gotten her face painted. She opted for a small butterfly, but this is quite a big thing for her. Bryce decided he wanted to as well, and he chose a tiger. He had fun crawling around and roaring!

We have a new addition to our family! Cocoa is part pekingese and part shih tzu. A baseball scout Jake came across had these puppies and offered us one. He is just as cute as he can be! The kids love him!
