Fall Fun

Dr. Salazar and his family had an awesome little pumpkin patch set up at their home in Jackson to benefit the Children's Heart Center. Avery and Bryce had a lot of fun playing and picking out pumpkins.

They both had fun painting their pumpkins when we got home.

Our family tradition of visiting the pumpkin patch changed locations last year. We love Mitchell Farms! It was great this time around because Bryce was able to join in on more of the fun! We had a  blast!

We didn't go Trick-or-Treating (Avery isn't quite ready for that), but the kids always get plenty of treats from school. We did dress up and take some pictures though. Bryce was Clark Kent and Avery was Sophia the First.

These two really play (and fight) well together now. Of course, they always want the same toy at the same time, and they hit and fuss like every other normal sibling pair! They do love each other, and I think Avery appreciates having someone to boss around and play with!

We went to see Nanny, Daddy's 88 year old grandmother, in Canton the day before Thanksgiving. Aunt Faith and her girls were in town too, so they met us over there. Avery and Bryce had fun playing with their big cousins.

This is what Bryce likes to do when he gets upset; however, he usually lays face down on his tummy. It is pretty comical!

On Thanksgiving Day, we went to Grammy's house in Braxton. While Avery steers clear of the animals, Bryce loves them! He wanted to stay outside with them. He also got a little zap from the electric fence (I freaked), but he was okay, lol.

Grammy's tradition is to give the kids their first Christmas gift on Thanksgiving. They love that!

Since Aunt Faith won't be around for Christmas, she also gave the kids their gifts.

Since we ate Thanksgiving at GG's and Papaw's house on Saturday. We spent Friday afternoon getting our little apartment ready for Christmas.

Burney the Elf returned, and he brought Christmas PJ's with him!

He got a little sick when Avery grabbed him, but he was better by the morning. He flew to the tree, so I guess his magic is back!

It may be small, but as long as my sweet kids and hubs are there, I feel right at home!

Since we at Thanksgiving a few days late at GG's and Papaw's, the yard was already decorated. All the grands love Papaw's lights!

Moving back a bit, we were able to enjoy a Thanksgiving feast with Avery's Agape family too. A's class entertained us with some music!

Oh, and did I mention that Daddy (AKA DISNEYLAND DAD) got up with the kids and went for breakfast at Chick-fil-a that day? He took off and spent the whole day with them. :)

We also went to Josh Turner's wedding before Thanksgiving. By the looks of the picture before we went in, everything appeared great. Avery had a panic attack inside, so it wasn't much fun after that lol. At least I got to see them walk down the aisle, and I was able to hug my dear friend, Suzanna's neck!

Thanksgiving Break was truly a break for me this year. I have loved staying up later than usual, sleeping in as long as the kids will let me, and just enjoying time with my family.
I am so very thankful for them.
