Spring Break 2014

The Baseball Life...
Baseball season is now in full swing, and not that the kids seem to be feeling better (and the weather is getting nicer), we will be at the park more often than not. Spring Break weekend was a crazy one, but it ended up in a two game win. That wasn't the crazy part! We witnessed a true miracle in the middle of the first Saturday game. It was unbelievable, and something I've found difficult to get off of my mind. My post from Facebook is below. MC also pulled out another great win on Monday night! Avery and Bryce love to ride in the cart with Daddy, so it's a good thing they won that night!

Behind me, Avery was playing with Parker like nothing was going on. To my right, this picture was happening...MC and their opponent who were supposed to be in the middle of a game praying together for what was in front of me. In front of me? A poor woman on the ground surrounded by what looked like an assembled team of medical people (which was actually medically trained bystanders who came to her aid) being given CPR. She collapsed and had no pulse. The first people to notice? Joycell Owens and her husband, a fireman. He tirelessly gave the lady CPR for a very long time, and he got her back. She's now breathing on her own at the hospital. She had valve replacement, and her valve wasn't working. After she left in the ambulance....a prayer praising God was spoken from the press box. What. A. Day. #trueteamwork#Godiswithus #Heanswersprayers

This player's grandmother ended up leaving the hospital by Tuesday. The doctors said that she wouldn't have made it if CPR wasn't begun immediately. Another amazing thing to me is that her daughter tried to talk her out of coming to the game because she wasn't feeling well. If she wouldn't have come, there would've been no one to give her that CPR that in turn saved her life! Another player's mom mentioned that she wondered if someone there was needing that miracle for their eyes to be opened. I wonder that as well.

Spring Fever...
We spent as much time as possible outside over Spring Break!

We were in Vicksburg a lot, so we went to the Riverfront Park and had lunch at Chick-fil-a with GG.

We came back home for a couple of days (until Daddy went out of town), and we shopped, played at Winner's Circle Park, and went to Bop's.

The biggest blessing this week was the birth of my beautiful niece, Josie Claire Beauman! She came early (on Monday, March 11), but she is perfect in every way!

When we went back to GG's and Papaw's, Avery and Cooper made silly noises and faces as they caught up  with face time.

We got burgers and lemonade from The Tomato Place (and bought some fresh sourdough bread while we were there),...

and went to play some more at Catfish Row.

We made GG a birthday pie because we won't be in town for her actual birthday next week. Avery insisted that we sing Happy Birthday twice!

We did some arts and crafts together,...

While Bryce napped, Avery and I went for a color walk throughout GG's and Papaw's backyard. Avery did a great job of picking out things that were yellow....white...purple...green...brown...blue....and gray.
