Thanksgiving 2012

Happy Thanksgiving!

Mrs. Linda always surprises us with sweet shirts for Avery. She is so kind and thoughtful and does a lot for us. My absolute favorites are the "Hi My Name is Miracle" outfit she made Avery as a newborn and the "There is No Bravery Without Avery" shirt she made for heart month last year. This pumpkin shirt is now in the top 3- so sweet!

Avery played model, so I could take come pictures of her in her pumpkin dress. She may act like she doesn't enjoy it, but this girl loves looking at pics of herself!

Avery and Mommy made some leaf art. She loved using the glue!

She also made a happy for Grammy and GG

and some cinnamon ornaments to hand out to friends. They made the house smell divine!

For Thanksgiving, we spent the day at Grammy's house. Avery had fun running around an playing outside with Kali and Daddy.

The following Saturday, we had our Thanksgiving in Vicksburg. Papaw had a rough week after his 3rd chemo treatment, but we were very blessed to have him feeling well that day. It was a beautiful day with family, and we even had an unexpected visit from the Murphy clan. Mrs. Carol Ann brought by a pie and some laughing puppies for the kids. At first, Avery and Cooper were scared of them, but they made all of us laugh (which was nice). Avery loves hers now and has named him "Giggles."

Papaw will be spending many weeks in Houston for his radiation treatments. There are lots of worries because this is his 3rd time to have treatment in recent years. While the possibilities are scary, our hope is in the Lord to continue to heal him. I know doing all this through Christmas will be very hard, especially for Dad. He gets so much joy out of decorating the yard with lights for the kids and setting up his Christmas Village. While it is a lot to take in, we know that the most important thing is getting him well! I am so proud of the positive attitude he has carried and the strength he's shown us as his family. The Lord is faithful, and He is answering our prayers!

Avery made this for Bryce's room- we are looking forward to the happiness he will bring to us when he arrives in January!
