SUMMER, 2017

Milly Jean is now 7 months old! She is sitting up well, and if she wants something she sees, she can wiggle and roll and get it for the most part. It will not be long before she is crawling and chasing her brother and sister every where! She can no longer sit in her bouncy seat, and I have to be right next to her while she is in her Bumbo. She pushes herself up in her feeding seat, so I really have to watch her in that too! I can see the white caps where her two top teeth will be coming in, and MJ is teething like crazy. Her favorite toys right now are her teethers, but she does seem to like her Jelly Cat bunny when she lays down for a nap. Milly is still a Mommy's girl, and she lets out whimpers and a particular cry when she sees me and wants me to get her. I can't say I don't appreciate that! I love her smile and her genuinely happy disposition. She shows her temper when she has to lay down for naps, she wants to be picked up, or she is in her car seat and over it! She was nearly 18 pounds at her check-up, and she is now going through a growth spurt and eating a lot. She is nearly growing out of her 9 month clothes! Her hair is coming in beautifully, and I wonder if it will be curly or straight. It is definitely red! I am excited to be able to spend a ton of time with this sweet child of mine, and I hope to savor every second.
I love you, baby MJ!

MJ wore Avery's first bathing suit this summer. She was not a fan of the sprinkler!

Daddy came home with a slip and slide, so he and the kids had a great time keeping cool on that.

Milly Jean is 8 months old! She has been sitting up well for awhile now. She pushes up and rocks in the crawling position and scoots around on the floor using her hands and feet. She pulls up in her crib and anywhere else she finds to do it. She still has red hair, but she also has a lot of blonde coming in. MJ continues to rock like Stevie Wonder and is a Momma's girl. She also loves to eat!

At 9 months, we'd moved into our new house, and MJ was able to pull up and stand. She loves rocking in her chair and seeing what she can get into!

Avery's hair has been so long and crazy, and she's been asking me to get a cut often. A commercial for Great Lengths came on, and I asked her if she'd like to donate it. She said yes, so that's what she did. She was very excited about her new, short cut, and she prissed around like a teenager after getting it done and meeting Barbie Bassett! She knows that the hair will go to people like her Papaw who lost their hair because of cancer. I know it made her feel special to do that.
