This and That

My kids go to daycare. Sometimes, Mommy forgets to send a. extra set of clothes OR the set there is out of season. When that happens, a little something like THIS happens....

And YES those are girly butterfly shorts! I may have to pull this out for their first dates.

Avery Loo-Hoo...

Avery has her first dance recital coming up. She's been learning her ballet and tap routine. We got her adorable costumes in. We paid her showcase fee. She's ready...or is she? There's that pesky fear and anxiety we continue to deal with! I was bound and determined for her to try on those costumes. Avery even told her Papaw that she would, but she wouldn't. When I'd waited long enough, I stripped her down, sat on her, and put the stinking things on her! Then as she screamed and cried, I made her look in the mirror, and walked her around the house making her twirl for everyone (esp her Papaw). Then, something great happened...she kind of got over it! When it came time for recital pics, she readily got dressed (make-up wasn't worth the battle, but she didn't seem to looked washed out without it). While she began to cry in the studio, a few minutes later she started to have FUN. She prissed and danced and sang and it was GREAT. #overcomingfears

Avery took some photos with her friends at Batson recently. She was really anxious at first about the Sweet Potato Queen, but they asked her to take off her large....glasses, and Avery came around. She had a good time and had fun taking pictures. One of the photos was in Find it in Fondren Magazine. I love having special things as keepsakes for Avery, and Mrs. Amanda sent us a few copies. #overcomingfears

Bryce-Man...

Bryce-Man IS getting SO big! Daddy IS determined he's going to be a lefty. I think that is pretty funny. Now that he is walking, Bryce is into A LOT, but he actually listens pretty well for a 15 month old. He loves hitting things (watch out people), throwing things, and digging in things. He is ALL boy. We have turned his carseat around, and he loves it. He is babbling more and more, and he says things like, "Uh-oh" and "ta-ta" all the time. He thinks his daddy is always outside when he doesn't see him or he's not home, so he goes to the window or door and calls him! He also points at the dugout and calls him at games. He loves to go talk to Daddy at the gate too. While he says "Dada" a lot, let's be real, he's still Momma's boy.
